The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment (AHW), in coordination with the recommendations of the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), is actively monitoring the current situation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on the health of the public. At AHW, our top priority is the health and wellbeing of our staff, partners, and community. As such, we have developed the following guidelines regarding our business operations.

AHW Offices and External Visitors

AHW’s offices are within the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Milwaukee campus. At this time, MCW is limiting visitors to all facilities. This includes cancelling or postponing all events, meetings, or gatherings of groups of 25 individuals or more through April 30.

Beginning Monday, March 16, AHW staff will begin to work remotely. We are currently developing our plans to assure we are able to continue to support partners statewide during this time.

AHW-Sponsored and Hosted Meetings and Events

Upcoming AHW meetings and events are being evaluated, with a goal of transitioning as many as possible to virtual meetings. If you are currently registered to attend an AHW-sponsored event or meeting in-person, we will be providing updates to registered attendees via email. We will also provide updates for our public events on the AHW website, and our Facebook and Twitter channels.

AHW strongly urges any funded projects holding larger meetings, gatherings, or community events across the state to follow the guidance of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and your local health department. If you have an upcoming event funded through an AHW Learning Event Support grant, please contact Tracy Wilson, AHW program manager, with any questions.

This information is current as of 9 a.m. on March 13, 2020. We will continue to monitor the circumstances and will share changes to the above information.
