We’re pleased to announce that Dr. Jesse Ehrenfeld, Director of the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment (AHW) and Senior Associate Dean and Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) School of Medicine, has been named to STAT’s 2023 STATUS List, the ultimate list of leaders in health, medicine, and science.
Dr. Ehrenfeld is one of only 46 individuals in the nation to be included on the 2023 STATUS List, selected from sectors including biotechnology and diagnostics as well as broader areas like education and policy. Some are well-known academics or officials, others are leaders shaping the life sciences, and all have compelling stories to share.
President-elect of the American Medical Association (AMA), Dr. Ehrenfeld plans to focus on AMA’s Recovery Plan for America’s Physicians, which includes promoting telehealth and helping doctors suffering pandemic burnout, when he takes office in June 2023.
Dr. Ehrenfeld is a combat veteran who served in Afghanistan and is a professor of anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He divides his time among clinical practice, research, and directing the strategic and operational advancement of AHW.
